We have a couple of ideas in the pipeline at the moment:
We are already on the hunt for speakers for this semester. Prof.
Thompson from the Particle Physics Group has agreed to do a talk for us on
November 28th and our very own Web Slave, Joanna Goodger, have
offered to come and tell us about her work in Extragalactic Radio Astronomy.
If you have anyone you would like to hear from in particular, in or out
of the university, please let us know.
We are also hatching a plan to go and see Avenue Q sometime in
November...
preliminarily the 14th.
And of course there is the christmas dinner out and
after-party.
We've booked L'oasis for ~7pm on friday 7th December. Let us know if you
want to come as we have 20 seats and it's first come, first paid deposit,
first get. The menu is on their website.
The normal price (that for non-members) is 30 pounds and once we get some
money from the IoP, it should be 15 per head for members (so join for a
fiver and save a tener). That excludes drinks! But we will be having a
after-dinner party at PsiStar HQ.
