Web of Knowledge
Quite useful journal database, once you have learned how to overcome the search engines short comings.
It also lacks direct links to journal websites, so go to our library website for links to specific journals.
Library
Newly revamped library website. Allows you satisfy most of your library needs without having to talk to anybody.
Physlink
Quite a useful if very americanised Physics resource page. Good for physical constants and news.
Scienceworld
Very good website covering the natural sciences. Has good synposes of most areas of Physics an undergraduate would be
interested in. The search facility acts as quite a good Physics dictionary, for those all important definitions.
Institute of Physics
Good site despite an unintuitive structure. Go to the site map for a more detailed list of what the IoP has to offer.
Nexus
Student branch of the IoP. Nexus do some good work to aide students of Physics.
The constants and equations pages
Besides the imaginative title of this page it also has references for constants, equations and the such like.
Journal list
A link more useful for QM project students; provides a list of journals available for reference.
NIST
The National Institue of Standards and Technology is an American organisation so you have to put up with poor spelling.
Despite this the site is a very good refernece for more specialised bits of data. Has good databases for constants,
spectroscopy, nuclear physics, condensed matter phyics, etc.
WebElements
It's the best online periodic table I've found. Has descriptive audio clips and pictures as well as the obligatory stats.
All of this is presented in crayola colours to make it less intimidating for you kids. My favourite element is polonium.
The Britney Spears guide to semiconductor physics
Proof that Physicists can take the piss better than anybody.
Despite the whimsical element to this site it is actually very informative and covers all from the basics to advanced photonic crystals.
Great semiconductor guide that's easy on the eyes. Nice!
